I'm on the bus to Sydney airport. The driver of our first bus declared himself unhappy with the safety of the vehicle and we all transferred to another bus with nicer seats, wifi and a charging port for your phone. Buses have improved significantly since my youth where you had a avoid drunks and discarded fish suppers round your ankles.
At the first roundabout, however, a violin case came crashing off the overhead rack and narrowly missed my head. Its owner was mortified and I graciously accepted her apologies.
I remember when I was a student in Glasgow being advised never to sit on the front seat of the bus at the top of the stairs as you were likely to get a thump on the head by a drunken fellow passenger.
