Today was room reorganisation day. With the kid off to college we are doing a room swap and reconfiguration. We did Costco first figuring that no-one would be able to bear going to the supermarket after unscrewing beds.
We were heading to Typo to buy some girlish frippery and to somewhere else to buy some plain white sheets. Since I can not do this at John Lewis, I chose David Jones as my next best action. I was wrong. Seriously nearly $300 for Sheridan white sheets? They had a cheaper option which I reluctantly purchased as I was unconvinced of quality. We then wandered into Country Road which had much better options and then as the cashier calculated my total at the counter, he informed me I also got a 20% discount. All in all a superior option and I will be returning the rubbish DJ sheets.
Let's draw a veil over the bed frame retrieval and cobweb removal, including the bit where I had to relocate a red back spider to get into the under house storage. A giant fecking red back. Shudder. With what I can only assume to be a ball of babies. It had built a web across the door way. I was not game to squash it so I got a stick and tried to move the whole web. When it started running up the stick, I chucked it over the gate and hid behind the rosemary while I made sure it was not coming back.
I survived the day without being bitten.
