Aaah, the sweet sounds of "I have an open door policy," or, "I don't have a mortgage on good ideas." I much prefer being told, "Just face it, we're doing it my way, baby." Though perhaps without the baby bit.


I had a titter at this. I'm so glad I'm working for a small company.


As long as you're all going in the same direction of travel.


I think the more bosses go on about beign accessible, the less they actually are.
I had a new military boss who gave a stirring speech about wanting to know what went on in all areas of the branch, and on a ship he was often down in the boiler room etc etc.
Eventually on his farewell card I wrote "sorry we never met."
