Lots of wild swings these past few days. I had a screening mammogram today (family history, blah, blah) and got called back because there were some dark patches. In the intervening hour while I waited for an ultrasound I had rehearsed the worst possibilities and realised that I was totally unprepared for the outcome of this screening. As it turned out there was nothing of concern but I felt really drained and unable to go back to the office. I had a quiet afternoon at home working on a report and feeling that I had touched the edges of mortality.

Very pleased to hear everything was OK. Puts things into perspective when something like that happens.

Glad you're fine.
I have a family history, too, and there's a little nerve ending somewhere in my brain that doesn't let that knowledge go, ever. Strange thing, eh?

Wow so did my mother-in-law this week, she went into shock after she got the news that the shadows on her lungs were not what they feared.
