Bedmaking is a big issue for me - I would have to describe myself as also rigid about "my bed" and how it is made as well. As I left this morning I noticed my husband had failed to make the doona cover look nice and neat where it tucks down into the bed end. I also have to pull the doona tight so there are no creases. I was sorely tempted to fix it up but I was on my way out and friends were waiting outside (it is a first I nearly always tidy up after he makes it initially. It is a big concession that he actually will make the bed in the morning because he knows how I feel about coming home to an unmade bed.

The European pillows, the sleeping pillows the decorative pillows and the two smaller decorative pilows must be arranged "just so" on my bed. The bed must also be made in the morning it is not the same feeling to hop into a bed just made before you got into it. I wash and change my sheets every week so I have separate pillows for the decorative pillow slips which match the doona so the pillow slips don't fade by washing them every week and I remove those decorative type pillows every night and put them aside so we never actually sleep on those pillows. I was only thinking last week how obsessive I am about hospital corners and how my husband doesn't care about them.

Am I more rigid than you? Please I hope you will say no so I can believe myself not too anally retentive about the whole bed thing - at least I am not like my mother who doesn't move in her sleep so as not to crease the sheets. Re P's mother I was surprised this week I had to loan her some of my sheets as she only has one pair of sheets and she had some guests staying and didn't want them to make the bed. I have never heard of only having one pair of sheets!

have a good weekend.

Good luck with the weekend. I'm sure you will rise above it all. Many happy returns to the birthday girl. Hope you all enjoy the cakes.

good luck with the weekend, and big happy birthday hugs to the not-so-little-anymore miss. I hope the cakes go down well, and that the effort needed to play happy families is not too much!

The suspenders are killing me as a boy at school used to say - how did the weekend go?
