Keep the tie. There will be other men. Perhaps many of them. One of them will be certain to like ties.


Yes I think the giving of the tie to the ex is generous to a fault.


What's he supposed to do with the tie? Surely there's no unintended strangling symbolism there? Or perhaps casting aspersions on his sexuality by giving him Versace? I'd be suspicious.


Don't these people know anything about PR? Cars are the new thing in door prizes, not ties! (Although, I'd take the Versace tie over the $300 set of false fingernails I once won.)

Theoretically, I think you still rank as 'a person who never wins anything', but to be seen as a giver of lavish gifts to ex-husbands... well, there's definitely some value in that.
