Man, it was flipping freezing this morning. I headed out this morning with Charlie as I had to do the Week 1, day 3 of Couch to 5k and I nearly died at how cold it was. Thank goodness I was jogging at pace as it was icy down at the riverside. I was very happy to have finished that. I was trying to remember all the ankle strengthening stuff from Up and Running as well as the C25K is very basic but I do love having an app just tell me what to do.
I was working at home and the kid went out to the coffee shop to work. Cue: frantic texts as she spilled coffee over her keyboard. She went straight to the apple store but there was a 4 hour wait so she came home. Fortunately, all her files were backed up in the cloud. She fished out my old Mac book and got herself going again which was just as well as the repair cost is $1000 or replacement is $1300. I think she'll be using mine till she gets her savings plan in place. In better news, she got offered an interview today for a design job.
This afternoon I ducked out to get a hair cut. I thought I was getting colour as well but it seems I did the on line booking wrong and there was not time to do both so I settled for the cut. This hairdresser is not a bully like the last one but is excruciatingly dull. I'm not saying I need a sparkling conversationalist but I would like to think that the transaction includes a modicum of human wit. Having gone twice with one person it is now hard to swap to someone else so I will probably have to yet again find a hairdresser. I am seriously considering doing nothing till I go back to Australia in April.
Did I mention the younger kid got a job? So happy about that and that it was a relatively painless process.
